The veil was in place to keep the most holy place in the temple separate from the rest. Only certain priests could enter this area at special times. It was not permitted for the common man to enter. The sinfulness of man cannot be in the presence of God, as God cannot tolerate sin in His presence.
Likewise, carnal man cannot bear to be in the presence of the Lord. In Exodus 34, the bible tells us that when Moses had come down from the mountain while in the presence of God, his face shone with God’s glory. The people of Israel were afraid and could not bear to look at Moses. Therefore, Moses covered the glory in his face with a veil.
But when Jesus died, the veil in the temple was removed. God’s desire is for us to now enter into His holiness. He desires to commune with us. He has removed His veil. It is time for us, as well, to tear down ours.
Sins, fears, and doubts can all separate us from experiencing a life promised to us by God. Our iniquities will continue to prevent us from being in God’s presence, even though the veil in Israel has been removed so very long ago. Our fears and lack of faith can prevent us from obtaining promises, healing, and deliverance that God desires for us to have.
If there is sin or any other weight in your life that is preventing you from walking close to God, come and let us pray with you at Living God Fellowship. Come and listen to the preaching of God’s word and the teaching of sound doctrine. Give your life to Jesus and experience the Holy of Holies.
Come, and let us all tear down our veils.
